Unfortunately Thursday was our final survey day at Waikamoi - just 8 days in the field. I did the big loop down Dam Trail and back up Pi'ina'au Trail, essentially orbiting Pi'ina'au Stream though I wasn't keeping track of which gulch it was. The weather was dry and very sunny, providing easy surveying but a bit too much glare for good photos. This was my first time through the lower end of Dam Trail, and I was excited to encounter a big patch of clermontia grandiflora which I had never seen before.

Dam Trail was fairly active - particularly at the lower end - but Pi'ina'au Trail was quiet as usual. We detected 2 parrotbill at the upper end of Dam Trail and 8+ 'akohekohe mostly along the middle to lower end of Dam Trail.
