Coyote In Cades Cove

Doug a/k/a photodoug http://www.pbase.com/photodug/profile) told me the deer and turkey were thick in Cades Cove over the weekend so I drove over yesterday. Saw a very large flock of turkey that was too far off to photograph but the deer and coyotes were there. I shot this one on foot but using the car as a moving blind, I shot several more. I stood within yards of several large bucks and it's obvious that the rutting season is still here. I have yet to see any of these around here although the hunters tell me they're out there. And looking at this guy, I'm not sure I want to run into one. Great capture.

Nice shot, Buz. I saw a coyote Sunday in the park I've been shooting in lately. It was the first one I've spotted in that park, although I've seen them in other local parks.
