This page features spinning tops for sale from various artists/makers. Initially I will mostly offer precision spinning tops by BilletSpin, but over time I will offer tops from other makers as well. These precision tops spin beautifully and can clock spin times of many minutes, typically at least 5 minutes and can often hit double digits. They are beautiful metallic works of art that are also a blast to interact with!

Typically the precision tops are either made using CNC machines, in which case multiples can be made of one design, or using a lathe, in which case the tops will each be one off and unique. Both types of tops are amazing and have their pros and cons. The CNC tops can be very complex designs with multiple pieces and many steps to make. The lathe tops can have multiple metals combined and inlaid, with all sorts of body and stem shapes, and always a unique outcome. Sometimes special milling will be added by the artist to these lathe tops as well.

I will also offer some tops made by woodworkers who turn their tops using special rose engine lathes, which are amazing pieces of equipment, complex and able to create incredible cuts and features in the woods (or other soft materials). Finally, I'll also have tops available from some glass artists who are making fun spinners!

You will want to get a 'spin base' to spin the tops on if you don't already have one. Cheap concave cosmetic mirrors will work at first, but eventually you'll probably want to upgrade to special lenses and other fancier spin bases.
