Here is one of Richard's most beautiful and decadent pieces, a stunning oyster shell with its own free floating glass pearl inside! The shell is heavily gold fumed, to the point that it has a mirror-like finish which you can see in some of the pics. The outside has some of his fumed starbursts on it, and they are struck to a gorgeous purple in the fumed star patterns. It is an absolutely brilliant piece, a rare find and centerpiece for any Clements collection, or glass collection in general! Since the pearl is separate, I like to use a little piece of quake putty for the one I own, to hold it in place inside the shell so nobody accidentally rolls it around in there.
