Richard Clements, aka Chameleon Glass, is an old school borosilicate artist from Australia who has been honing his craft now for over 40 years! He began working with boro as a scientific glassblower, and after a few years wanted to explore his creative side more, so branched out into his own glassblowing shop. In those early years, there was no such thing as colored borosilicate glass, and he is one of the boro pioneers who began experimenting making his own colors, first on the bench, and then building furnaces to make larger amounts, mixing the clear with various oxides and metals to achieve the colors he wanted. At some point be began fuming with gold and silver as well, and there is a lot of fuming incorporated into his work at this point. It was during those exploratory years that he started making his first perfume bottles, and today he says he still loves making them. The designs keep evolving, each piece quite unique and gleaming a jewel! When you see these in hand you'll agree that this is classic borosilicate glass beauty. These are wonderful pieces of 'functional' art for your collection!

All of Richard's perfume bottles come with a ground stopper, uniquely made for that bottle. Each bottle is also stamped with Richard's glass signature for easy identification in the future. His use of color, fuming, airtraps and eye for design make each one of these a timeless treasure! They are staggeringly beautiful in hand, as the light play is absolutely FANTASTIC with these, bouncing around between the different layers of glass, so shiny and bright and enticing. Mmmmm - as sweet as glass can be!

Richard has made a very limited number of marbles in the past as well, and I have a few of those available also, very rare and exotic. As usual, they are completely unique in the world of marbles!
