This is another of Mark's famous animal skins, and these are ridiculously hard to come by! I've only had a few zebras to sell over the years, and this plains zebra pelt is a stunning work of art. There is gorgeous black and white detail in this one, an absolute wonder in the world of marbles, and a superior example. It is huge and flawless. Every collection needs an incredible animal skin in it, and this is a sweet one to have! Like all of Mark's skins, this one mimics a pelt which he photographed at the Smithsonian on a data gathering trip back in 1997, and it is true to form in all of its glorious detail. Astounding stuff in glass!! It was made only a few years into the animal skin journey, an amazing piece of glass history, and is signed 'Matthews 2000'.
