I am proud to add another European marble artist to the pages of Glass ORBits, this time the talented Guillaume Thoraval from Paris, France! I am always looking for new artists who present their work using unique ideas, designs or techniques, and Guillaume certainly does that as he focuses on experimenting with the encasement of all different types of minerals and materials in his borosilicate works. His mind seems to be one of those that is constantly thinking about what he can try next, and those experiments of his are leading to some wonderful and fascinating results! He has mastered the technique of material encasement to the point that you very rarely see any air trapped around the various inclusions, and the crystal glass then highlights all the beauty inherent in those various elements. I find it all really intriguing and his marbles are super fun to explore. If you also have this curious, scientific side to you, then I think you'll find similar enjoyment in Guillaume's work as you add it to your collection.
