The amazing Matrix top was created by Rich Stadler in 2017. It is his first top to incorporate a double collar type of design, with two separate pieces for the outer collar which are then held in place by 5 individual pins going around the top, leaving a gap which you can see in the space between the two halves of the collar. That gap allows you to have another view of the inner disc, so you get joyous flashes of that inner metal from top, bottom and side! Along with the stem, you have a total of 9 pieces that make up this top, and actually 10 if you want to count the 1/8" carbide ball bearing that it spins on. This top was made to celebrate the exotic metals and look stunning from a host of different angles. Rich went CRAZY with the exotics with this one, sometimes having as many as 3 different exotics in one top! It was one of the most complex tops every created when it came out, and it is an absolute marvel of metallic engineering! These tops are 1.19" in diameter.
