The Maelstrom is one of my favorite tops ever from Billetspin, a top where Rich wanted to incorporate some more of those dangerous elements, with the blade cuts in the center of it, but then also have it feel smooth and flowing at the same time, which he accomplished with that crazy sweet twisting stem design. It is a 4-piece top, with the outer collar, teeth, inner disc, and then the stem. The Maelstrom is just brilliant, and if you look closely you can see how the pattern in the center rotor matches up with the blades above it. Then you've got those raindrop cuts around the outside of the rotor. So much amazing milling is worked into the design of this piece, and it is sooo dang cool in hand, you've gotta see it and spin it! These tops spin BEAUTIFULLY, and they are crazy cool warpers when you get a video camera on them in the sun to see that warping. This is another legendary design for the ages from Rich, a must for every collection! These tops are 1.23" in diameter and 1.21" tall.
