It was interesting though, Mom had this fish in the tree first and
it appears she wasn't real intent on sharing right away. None of the
fledgelings was really watching her as she came in an I think I spooked
her out of the tree so she went to the nest to be close to the youngsters.
The fledgeling were beginning to fly (more shots to follow) and learning how to land.
But what was real interesting was the island had a large population of Ospreys, so
when an intruding osprey got to close to a fledgeling mom (or dad?) would take off
and escort them away from the younger birds even if they were flying. It made for
some great arial shots, through some tough light, and in two cases the birds got so
close I could feel the wind from there wings.
