Dinner Time

Flag Ponds SP, Calvert MD

The fun thing about bird photography is you can spend literally hours trying to
get a great shot! Today was one of those practice days, the sky was perfect and the
ospreys were feeding like they were getting ready to go somewhere. I returned after an hour of
shooting with 2Gb of RAW files and hopefully some good shots!

I tried out a Kenko Pro 2x with my 80-400 and the jury is still out.
This shot was a little later in the day using the straight 80-400,
I probably could've reduced my aperature and used a little more speed on a few of the shots.

P.S I put two gems in the Tahoe Area Gallery today!

Nice capture, you must put a great deal of time into getting these shots. Excellent. Vote.

Nice capture and pose Bryan! The problem with the 2x is losing two f stops and this usually ends up shooting wide open to get the proper exposure .Most lens are a bit soft at the bottom end.
