In the middle is Thomas Telford's suspension bridge of 1826; to the right is Robert Stephenson's double tubular railway bridge of 1846-49; and the most modern crossing is on the left, the single-arch steel bridge of 1958. Out of view is the fourth crossing, the 1991 tunnel which takes the A55 North Wales Expressway under the Conway
