6th - Dinner

Cheltenham, Glos.

I think this must be a juvenile straight out of the nest, fending for himself for the first time - I just about stepped on him twice tonight as I was faffing around outside and he almost walked straight into the house a few minutes later! He's obviously not got a lot of fear of humans yet so I managed to bag this shot of him with his tea - maybe he's dining on those randy snails I saw the other day :O)

Sorry, I'm behind with your pics and I've got no time tonight...will catch up soon!

Nikon D700 ,Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO Macro
1/160s f/5.6 at 300.0mm iso800 full exif

Lovely shot of my favourite garden bird.

He seems to be enjoying it and he can have my share...I'm swearing off of worms or slugs. :)

He'd better "wise up" pdq, it's a harsh world out there for birds.

Nice catch, he certainly looks bemused.

Awww ~ give him a hug for me ~ he's still young and needs some guidance!

Didn't anyone tell him it's rude to talk with your mouth full! Fab catch tho!! :o)
J. Scott Coile06-Jul-2011 21:57
Glad it's his and not mine.

A good shot with the mouth full, and nice for you to have a 'pet'
Mairéad06-Jul-2011 20:50
He's got his eye on you for sure.

I thinks it's a slightly knackered overworked Dad, the young'uns are drab brown without the yellow beak.
Brian Samuel06-Jul-2011 18:57
Ooops! That's not right, its 3 and 20 to go
Brian Samuel06-Jul-2011 18:56
4 and 19 to go before you have enough for your dinner

He may be young, but he looks pretty sure of himself.
