27th - Brain Food

Cheltenham, Glos.

It pleases me no end that both my two love books like there's no tomorrow - they still nag me to buy them bagful of books from Waterstone's and since it also means that I can snap up a few more tomes for my own bookcase, I can't say no :o)

What better way to spend a few hours of a weekend morning than browsing the shelves in our local bookshop? I may be a few squid poorer, but it's such a good way to part with your money LOL!!

I was gutted when Borders closed down , I much prefered them to Waterstones....

I love buying books too, have so many of them that there's no longer enough shelves no matter how often we have
a clear out.

Something to be proud of. I'm a trawler of the second-hand book market (my money goes further that way), and I've just added three titles to my collection of Terry Pratchett books...Nation, The Amazing Maurice, and Unseen Academicals.

It's a shame to see the Kindle's of the world taking over the touch, feel and smell of real books. Lovely image Doug!

that is money well spent, and time well spent too reading...still a better option than television by a wide margin...at this stage all my shelves are full, so next literary buy will be yet another bookshelf..

I only have so much space and pass paperbacks on to spread the joy

Books definitely have a strong allure for collecting and reading. Our daughter is a huge reader too, and we have often enjoyed the bookstore the same as you. V
