27th - Damp

I know, not a very inspiring photo - it's been gloomier than a gloomy thing that's just had some bad news, there's a real wintry feel about at the moment, dark, dank and jolly miserable - don't you just *hate* having to have the lights on all day?

I was just mucking about with the camera, seeing what it could do with a high iso...blimey! this is as good if not better than iso800 on my old D80!! Outrageous low-light performance from the new camera :o)) Oh, should add that I've done nothing to this other than a bit of Smart Sharpen on the droplets...

Nikon D700 ,Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4D AF
1/800s f/4.0 at 80.0mm iso6400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

God knows how it compares to my hopeless 30D The old Nikon could knock it for nine anyway

Very impressive - it's amazing what these do at low-light.

Oh bother ~ it's dark & stormy here too. (But we really need the rain!)
Beautiful capture Doug! 6400? Holy cow!

Very impressive! I've heard that the 700 is a great low-light camera...and this just goes to show. As for the weather, Doug, it's pretty much the same here in Leeds.
:-)
