Pottering around in the garden earlier, and this handsome creature followed me around for a few minutes; I suppose he thought I was going to unearth a few worms for him, but since all I had was the camera I doubt that was going to happen! Still, it was nice to be so close to such a beautiful bird - he was quite literally three feet away most of the time.

BTW, I'm being completely chauvinistic and assuming he was a he - I couldn't tell if it was an immature male or a small female; can anyone out there with better 'twitching' abilities than me help me out?
