A quick long weekend trip with my Mom to Southeast Arizona from March 8-11, 2019 to show here some of Southeast Arizona's Specialty birds. We started in Tucson (Saguaro National Park and Arizona-Senora Desert Museum) and then spent a day between Madera Canyon (Santa Rita Lodge and Madera Picnic Area), Tubac (De Anza Trail), and Patagonia (Patagonia Lake State Park), some time in Miller Canyon at Beatty's Guest Ranch and the final morning back in Tucson at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. We birded Cochise, Pima and Santa Cruz Counties during the trip. We wound up locating most of our targets but unfortunately dipped on the Elegant Trogon, Rose-throated Becard, and Black-capped Gnatcatcher. We ran out of time to go look for the Olive Warbler.
