Every winter the population of Bald Eagles in the northwest explodes with the arrival of migrants. Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho and the Spokane River become 'hot spots' to watch the birds fish. Photographers gather on the shorelines in great numbers too! It is very cold and completely addictive.
