I was very fortunate to be able to attend all three space launchs of the First Privately Funded Manned Space flights conducted by Burt Rutan's "Space Ship One". All three launches took place in the early morning and the viewing was always right into the sun at take off time. I really liked this image, and am very proud to have a copy signed by Burt Rutan. This really was a significant historical event and I had hoped the image might win something, but it did not seem to impress the judges.
