At left is Chris, our giant 6 ft 3-4 inches guide. He is an unfailingly cheerful and very knowledgeable guide, who taught us a lot about the animals. In the center is Bill, and a manager of the Serengeti Simba lodge is at right. The term "lodge" doesn't usually refer to a single large building, but to a central wooden structure which serves as administrative center and dining hall for several tents in the area.
