After our great lunch at the Famous 4th Street Deli on September 25, 2013, we walked back to our car parked at Jefferson Hospital via South Street.

There are many building facades decorated and enhanced with all sorts of mosaic sculpture pieces. Here are some photos of what we encountered; but at 1020 South Street you will come to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens (www.phillymagicgardens.org).
Here is the concentrated work of Isaiah Zagar who began this work around 1994. Apparently, according to the brochure we picked up at the museum, Mr. Zagar created much of the other street art along South Street and in other parts of the city.

We did not have enough time to enter the museum (there is a $7 admission) but may return another day when we have more time to visit and take in this intense street art.
