Our "Philly friends" have lived in West Philly for years and have worked in and around the city,
both in providing educational services in the public schools.
Visiting them often brings out some unique places, foods, customs, and experiences.

For breakfast on Saturday, we drove from their home into North Philly to the Olney section of the city for this great Latin American experience.
Nothing at all fancy, but the bakery was well cared for and offered many freshly baked items, the names of which have simply escaped me.
It's like you stepped into another world visiting places like this in Philly.

The bakery opens at 5AM and there is often a long line in the early morning hours.
During our visit on mid-morning Saturday, they were not too busy and luckily we still had a pretty good selection to choose from for our breakfast.
