During my bike ride on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, I was lucky to come across 11 of the 15 artists participating in the "Wet Paint Live" fundraising event on Marco Island.

This annual painting outside "en plein air" event raises funds for student scholarships.
Each artists begins at 9AM with a stamped canvas to ensure the work would be completed on this day.
Once they arrive at their locations, they have until 3PM to complete their painting.
Their completed and framed painting were auctioned at an evening function at the Marco Island Historical Society.

It was fun to travel around the island by bicycle and meet and talk with these vibrant artists.
I was able to photograph their work and sometimes include them in the photo.

Also, while visiting the "Wet Paint Live" artists on Marco Island and in Goodland on Wednesday, February 11, 2015,
the mid-day brilliant sunshine really accenuated the bright colors of the quaint little homes in Goodland.

Goodland's laid back charm fits right in with the SW Florida, living-by-the-water, off-beat, kooky, "Key West-like" lifestyle.

Though these homes may seem simple to you, I have often heard it stated that in Goodland there are millionaires living next to common folk who make their living on the water.
As it's been said before, "In Goodland, you can fly under the radar".
