Up off the Skyway just past Magalia is Powelltown Road. It's a shortcut (?) through the ridge to just above Sterling City. As you can see, it's a bit of a dirt road. Sometimes, 5 inches of soft red dirt. Sometimes, rock. Never had to use 4wd or anything, though I wouldn't be willing to try it in the rain.
Not much to see up there, but I was looking for an informal shooting range someone had told me about. Found it, but it was just a small clearing in the woods.
