2006 Chico Yo-Yo Nationals

This is the Premier Yo-Yo event in this country - right here in Chico! That sounds so lame...Premier Yo-Yo event. Anyway, Chico is home to the National Yo-Yo museum, truly a national treasure...hahaha.. Oh god. Sorry. Sorry. As such, the Nationals are held here every year. I was thinking it would be a great place to get some good head shots - and I was right. The last group of shots (of the kid) are my favorites. Everywhere we went, people hammed it up for us. Hope you enjoy!

Entire gallery shot with a Canon 24-105/4IS. My first outing with it and I'm nothing but impressed! Note some of the shutter speeds and that all shots were handheld. This is a GREAT lens.
