Inle Lake's floating gardens are a major tourist attraction. The floating beds are built of water plants and mud and are anchored with bamboo. Seed is planted
in the fertile mud and the young plants are supported by bamboo canes. Depending on the season they are used for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, gourds and beans.
