It was great to be back in El Hongo and working with the students from CSUF and UCR. We provided medical and dental services and a dental hygiene presentation was given to the children that were present. We have been trying to get more patients to come back to the clinic after the pandemic and it is slowly happening. We had some good laughs, some good food, and good times. The border wait was 6 hours, possibly a result of the govenment shutdown, and unfourtunately, 5 cars did not make the crossing at Tecate before it closed at 10PM. Luckily they were able to cross at the Otay Mesa border crossing and everyone made it home safely. It was a long day and an adventure for all. See you next time.
