The Cape Range National Park lies midway between Coral Bay and Exmouth and contains spectacular rocky gorges, carved by ancient rivers.
It is the only elevated limestone range on the north-western coast of WA.
We went there for a one-day trip embarking from Coral Bay.
When we began to return at 6 p.m., hundreds of small kangaroos were lining up along the edge of the road watching our car, mesmerized by the headlights.
Driving in WA has to be extremely careful, as those animals will cross the road or stand still in the middle of the lane - a high chance to be knocked down by the traffic.
