I only spent about three hours in Cambridge on August 15 2005 and left before sunset.
In order to go there from Essex where I stayed at my friend's house and return, I spent nearly five hours on the BritRail.
Despite the long journey, Cambridge impresses me with its Gothic architecture of the university buildings. It's also a great experience punting by yourself along the channel.
Cambridge is indeed a wonderful place for pursuing knowledge.
