The image shows an architectural detail of the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Antwerp.
he church is located on Hendrik Conscienceplein. The building is a former Jesuit church
and was constructed in the Baroque style. The church was built between 1615 and 1621.
The apse of the main altar, the Marian Chapel, and the sculptures still bear witness
to its former splendor. The painter Rubens had a significant influence on the church's decoration.
the Jesuit order was abolished in 1773, it became a parish church, named after Charles Borromeo.
