A traditional masonry asado grill or barbecue, built into a stone fireplace or oven.
It features a metal cooking grate that can be raised or lowered over the fire
using chains.Pulleys or hand wheels are visible underneath, which are used to
adjust the grate's height and thus regulate the cooking temperature.
A wood fire or embers burns in the fire pit, which is the traditional method
for asado cooking. A piece of meat (possibly a whole animal or a large piece, s
uch as a lamb or goat) is smoking or cooking on the top grate.
