The image shows the interior of the Church of Our Lady of the Snows
(Kostel Panny Marie Sněžné) in Prague. The church is known for its remarkably
high vault, the highest in Prague. The interior displays a blend of Gothic
architecture and later additions, such as the Baroque organ gallery below.
The church's name is inspired by the legend of a snowfall in Rome on
August 5 in the 4th century. Pope Liberius and a wealthy Roman had the same dream:
Mary instructed them to build a church where it would snow.
