This is a detail of the pediment above the entrance to the Jewish Town Hall in Prague.
The building is located in the Jewish Quarter of Josefov, opposite the Old-New Synagogue.
Originally built in 1586, the Town Hall has undergone several reconstructions, the last
of which was in the Rococo style after a fire in 1755. At the top of the building is a
small tower with a clock with Hebrew numerals, the hands of which rotate counterclockwise,
as Hebrew is written from right to left. The building currently serves as the headquarters
of the Federation of Jewish Religious Communities in Bohemia and Moravia.
