The image shows the statue of Hendrik Conscience in front of the entrance to the
Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library in Antwerp. The bronze statue depicts the 19th-century
Flemish writer Hendrik Conscience seated. It was created by the Belgian artist Frans Joris
and unveiled in 1883. "STADSBIBLIOTHEEK" (CITY LIBRARY) is carved in stone above the
building's entrance. The statue is located on Hendrik Conscienceplein, opposite
St. Carolus Borromeus Church.
