The image shows an altarpiece or shrine in the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Antwerp.
The church, originally built as the Jesuit church of Antwerp between 1615 and 1621,
is located on Hendrik Conscienceplein. After the dissolution of the Jesuit order in 1773,
the church was reconsecrated in 1779 and named after St. Charles Borromeo.
The altarpiece is richly decorated in the Baroque style, with black wood, gold accents,
and a central statue of the Virgin Mary and child. In the background is a large painting,
typical of the art found in the church.
