This is the Baroque high altar of St. Charles Borromeo's Church in Antwerp. Originally built
as a Jesuit church between 1615 and 1621, the church is an important example of early
Baroque architecture in the Low Countries. The design was partly influenced by Peter Paul Rubens,
who also provided paintings for the church. The church is known for its rich, exuberant interior
with marble and gilded elements. The main painting in the altar, which can be changed,
depicts the "Assumption of Mary."
