The Sint-Jacobskerk in Antwerp, is a late Gothic church has one of the richest interiors in
Northern Europe. The church is known for its intact 17th- and 18th-century Baroque interior,
Baroque furnishings, choir ensemble, and 24 altars. The church's history began around 1413 as
a chapel for the Antwerp brotherhood of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. One of its most
notable features is the burial chapel of the famous painter Rubens, which is located inside
the church.
