This is the statue of the French baroque signs Anthony van Dyck in Antwerp. The white marble picture
was made by Léonard De Cuyper and commissioned in 1856. He's toot Van Dyck in historical clothing,
with a hat in the right hand and a picture in front of him in the left arm, possibly with a picture.
Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641) was a prominent court sign, known for his elegant portraits of the
aristocracy, for the king Karel I van Engeland.The stand is located on the cruise of the Leysstraat
and Meir, a famous corner area in Antwerp.
