I believe the man on the left to be my foster father George LaFever.He was with the 551st AAA C Battery.On Jan.1 1945 he was wounded in the leg by shrapnel from a me-109 .After the plane was shot down,he was ordered to check on the pilot.When he got at the plane he found the pilot dead and flight gear removed.
