Naturally in PING YAO there are also the streets .It was really great to turn at random when there was a spur. Pingyao is not big enough for that we are truly lost, but varied enough to surprise us at every turn. And I have a MAP...In China it is very different as in France where nothing follows the same design. All the streets cross each other horizontally and vertically. The main street from north to south divides the town into two parts, with the tower in the center of town.
Today, more than 60% of tourists come from Beijing to Pingyao admire what they do over in the capital, and many are keen to remind people the value of their heritage.
And in Shanxi Province, which concentrates 74% of cultural relics from China, they have a proverb: "In the 80's, carries your gaze on Shenzhen, in the 90's, in Shanghai; during the next decade, Beijing; in three thousand years, you regarderas Shanxi Province."
