Tuesday 8th October 1929 at 9.00am the pews in the old St. Jacobus de Meerdere, Catholic Church in Enschede were filled with family and friends. The Bosmans side, thrilled but a little strange in their pews, watched Pastor Geertman bless Antoon and Marie the newly weds. The year after, this gothic structure was pulled down to make way for a new modern and bigger church.
