Hi European Bodypainters, This is the lady who was bodypainter Joi on Black's Beach in San Diego, Ca. since the 70's. I was amazed to see you people paint right over bathing suits and boots even! Here in the USA we designed out things to match their bathing suits, not your way. I guess the people who you painted on, aren't as hard up financially, as we are led to believe a lot of Europeans are. A lot of you seem to be creating creatures for the movies. Why must people always believe "Space Beings" are some form of monsters? Most of us always beautified our models and we never painted below the waist for the public, but then we are more conservative here, aren't we? Our cops and lifeguards wanted it that way, so we wouldn't be accused of doing anything sexual. I did like doing sci.fi. uniforms for warm climates in the beginning, but once we were asked to stay above the waist, we obeyed. Your works were fun to see tho and your brighter coilors were great this year, especially the Orange Monster!

Most amazing! I enjoyed watching the process unfold as the models were shown before, during and after their transformations. It is quite mindblowing to see how people change by applying a thin layer of paint. Some of the models seemed quite shy before they had the paint applied, but then became totally open once there was paint on their bodies, so the transformation outside seems to also occur inside the models as well. Quite interesting, and well photographed!
