Enoshima Island

(about an hour south of Tokyo) The island is very small and this shot doesn't really do its' main street justice. I was there the night before and all the shops were shuttered down with no people and about 30 cats wandering around. During the day it seems to transform a bit. Of the handful of houses on the island I think there is a native American (er, Native United Statesien that is). I overheard him talking on his porch and gave him the, "hey, how's it going." He told me, "Right on brother." An odd response, but I suppose that's how the island is, especially for someone who decides to live there coming from the United States.
