Other than knowing that this famous farmhouse was somewhere near San Quirico, we headed to southern Tuscany on the off chance of finding it.

We'd almost given up finding it but then, all of a sudden as we drove over a crest, it appeared before us (head out of San Quirico on the Pienza road).

I could have stayed here all evening, but we still had to eat, and drive >100 miles back to our hotel (We finally got to our beds at 1:30am.)

Well worth making the effort for.
