IMG_1294-1.jpg

This is from a small patch of frozen water in my back yard. I filled my bird feeders this morning and saw it ... not sure how it formed this way, since it's not flowing water, but just simply a small puddle. Obviously, it captured my attention (and my shutter)!

Even more interesting to include the detailsof the brown leaves. Very nice.

This needs no explanation, Nancy. It matters little what it actually "is" -- what it "says" is much more important than knowing we are looking at a frozen bird feeder. You express much of the natural world in this slice of texture, rhythm, and color. The patterns and shapes speak of contraction and expansion, of life and death, of integration and disintegration. You leave it to us to make of it what we can and what we will.
