The families are returning home for the Winter. White Pelicans, Buffleheads, Mallards, Mergansers, Blacks, and Sandhill Cranes (last year over 3000 cranes) are now arriving. A great day; now could we now have more rain to wet-up the flatlands and the ponds.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 2008-2009 FISCAL YEAR SCHEDULE IS BEING COMPILED NOW...THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED AS SHOWN BELOW:

December 6 - Clean & Learn - Native Amerian Program - 9AM Duncan Hill/Truck Trail. Meet at the Duncan Hill ramp for litter removal alond the creek bank and roadway. A Native American historian will be on hand to talk about the early inhabitants of the area.

December 14 - WWRA Members Waterfowl Tour - 2PM Visitor Center, Members will meet at the Visitor Center and board bus at 2PM for a tour of the White Springs Dike/Limestone Bay areas. {IF not a member... you might want to consider joininf the Association....for information go to www.friendsofwheelerrefuge.org.
