This week the weather was a factor at the Refuge. No rain, low water levels, cold mornings, crop harvesting all mean not much movement by the wildlife. Migratory birds are slowly moving in with very little water in the observation areas which are still covered with lotus plants that are finally dying but still floating...thus limiting dive and landing areas. Hopefully rains and real Fall weather will arrive soon for the wildlife.
