Today the Refuge held an open house event for the general public. Trails were strolled, Rangers showed people how to use a mobile GPS for cross-country travel, the Visitors Center held a Raptor Program, many bow hunters opted to begin the annual Deer harvesting season, and the Observation Building was open as it is each day of the migratory season.

The last of the Fall flowers and plants were in bloom with a great assortment of wildlife in all areas of the Refuge. In all a great day.
