Today was the "open house" day for the Refuge's Welcome Center. While the rain, cool wind, and cloundy day hampered several from getting out for pond fishing, tours, youth education, wildlife observation from the heated observation building, and trail walking.....we had family groupscome through all daly....thus giving each family a rare treat during these occassions to meet the staff and spend time with each learning more about conservation, woodsmanship, and the wildlife.

Else where on the Rmall game hunters enjoyed walking the wood and fishermen enjoy the fishing along the banks of the river.
