A lot going on today.....the National Lands Day for clean-up the trash, wildlife and flowers a-plenty, and prepping for the youth "wet-n-wild" contest of using discarded materials to make art of wildlife and outdoor activities. A good wet and "free lunch" day for all that were present.

One real interesting happening today was the donation of four mounted ducks for the class room where the youth and hunters are educated about waterfowl and wildlife. The Refuge's Visitors Center always welcomes these donations of "mounted" haversted game from families whose deceased members have collected or housholds who need room in the house and wanted these items used as educational tools and not just thrown in the trash.
